Most of the time, tech support will bear the brunt of the calamity, even though it’s not their fault. Here’s a tip: before even thinking of calling tech support, here’s a trick that will fix 99% of all computer problems: try turning it off and on again. If that doesn’t work, then...

Where Did All The Money Go?

money gone feat

It happens to all of us. We work, work, and work, only to find that we’ve not doing as well as we had hoped. The average expenditure of American households is about $50,000 a year. A huge chunk of that money (roughly 30 percent) is spent on housing — whether that’s rent or a mortgage, but it’s entirely necessary. Paying for electricity can also be a burden. Do you know how much electricity it takes to power your computer? To make the most of your money, you will need to set a budget and stick to it. Budgeting is much...

WordPress Just Got a JSON API. Here’s Why This Matters

wpjs-featured

WordPress started off as a humble blogging platform, and somehow found itself becoming a fully-fledged content management system that powers a significant proportion of the Internet, including this very website. Despite that, WordPress has a number of notable limitations, including a proper API. Well, that’s not quite true. Of course, for many years WordPress has had an XML-based Application Programming Interface (API) that allowed developers to create third party applications that interact with WordPress. But XML is horrible. It’s slow to parse. It’s hard to read. It’s astonishingly verbose. JSON is much, much better. It’s quick to parse, more human-friendly...

What Is The Fastest Android Browser?

fastest android browser benchmark

Browsers on Android can have different rendering engines, so some browsers can be faster than others. We benchmarked the popular Android browsers to figure out which are fastest and which are slowest. What We Measured (and What We Didn’t) To try to give you an unbiased benchmark, we ran Rightware’s Browsermark here.
