Content marketing service Copypress conducted a survey of 247 writers in order to get an idea of the current position of freelance writing. According to their results, almost half of freelance writers make less than $10,000 a year, with only 3 per cent generating incomes above $70,000. 78 per cent of freelance writers make less than the Editorial Freelancers Association average hourly rate of $40-$99. So, should you freelance? Weigh the pros and cons.
