Go from Guitar Hero to guitar master with the gTar

gtar

The gTar was a successfully funded Kickstarter project by California based Incident Technologies, which raised over $350,000 in June of 2012. This is a digital MIDI instrument that feels like a real electric guitar. It features a solid basswood body and a rechargeable battery that lasts 8 hours. It can be played through headphones, an amp, or plug it into a computer to use with Garageband or other music production software. It has strings, but you don’t have to worry about keeping them in tune because this is a digital instrument. The dock built into the body of the gTar is compatible with the iPhone 4/4S with a 30 pin connector. They are working on a replacement dock that will be compatible with newer iPhones that have the Lightning connector. Download songs with the gTar app and watch them light up on the fretboard to show you where to put your fingers. Varied difficulty modes make it easy to tackle challenging new songs. The gTar is available in black or white for $399 directly from Incident Gear or from Grand St.
